William Henderson

Bill Henderson is an author, lecturer, and thought leader on the legal market. His insights have earned him an ever-growing list of accolades from the nation’s most respected publications: in 2009, the ABA Journal designated him as a “Legal Rebel”; in 2013, the National Law Journal included him as one of the 100 most influential lawyers in America; and in 2015, National Jurist listed him as the most influential person in legal education.

Bill is a Professor at the Indiana University Maurer School of Law where he teaches courses on the legal profession. His empirical research has been published in leading law journals and publications for practicing lawyers. And his observations are frequently quoted in the mainstream press, including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Atlantic Monthly, The Economist, and National Public Radio.

Prior to joining the faculty at Indiana University, Bill was a Visiting Associate Professor at Chicago Kent College of Law. He also served as a law clerk for the Hon. Richard D. Cudahy on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
